Finland to Host 2017 Arctic Energy Summit
Spotlight on the Finnish Chairmanship of the Arctic Council
Finland has agreed to host the 2017 Arctic Energy Summit as the first major event of their Arctic Council Chairmanship, which runs 2017 to 2019. Timed to coincide with the first year of the rotation between Arctic Council chairs, the Arctic Energy Summit was last held in Fairbanks in 2015. In Finland, the Summit will build on past work, highlight the Finnish Chairmanship and 100th Anniversary, and continue to share best practices across the circumpolar North.
The Summit will take place at Finlandia Hall, 18-20 September 2017.
